Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government plans to disburse the 4th phase money of first installment under the Subhadra Yojana in January 2025.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said that over 20 lakh beneficiaries will avail financial aid under the Subhadra money in January next year. “All beneficiaries will receive the financial aid the Subhadra Yojana. The delay disbursing the fourth phase of the first installment of money is due to the hindrances in verification of documents. We have set December 30 as deadline for verification of documents and once the verifications are completed, we hope to disburse money in January,” Parida said.
In response to a question regarding the inclusion of all women of Bonda tribe in Subhadra scheme, she informed that more than 12,000 women belonging to the community have applied for the money, of which 9,000 have received their first installment money. However, 3,000 beneficiaries are yet to get the first installment in their bank accounts.
The government had earlier said that the fourth phase of Subhadra money would be released on December 25 but it was deferred due to ongoing verification of documents.
So far, 80 lakh women have benefitted under the Mohan Majhi government’s flagship programme.
