Bhubaneswar: The Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri is set to introduce a queue system (Dhadi Darshan) for devotees from January 1, 2025, announced Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan after reviewing the preparations with the SJTA Chief Administrator on Saturday.
A trial run of the queue system will be conducted on December 30 and 31. Devotees will enter the temple through the Sata Pahacha and exit through the Garada Dwara and Ghanti Dwara.
Separate arrangements are being made for women, children, the elderly, and differently-abled individuals to ensure a comfortable darshan experience.
The temple administration has formulated a mechanism to allow hassle-free darshan of the deities. Senior servitors are hopeful that the new arrangements will benefit devotees.
