Bhubaneswar: The body of a migrant worker from Subarnapur district’s Tarbha area, returned to his village on Monday, three days after his alleged murder in Tamil Nadu.
The deceased is Dhabaleswar Seth, a resident of Tarabha,
As per reports, Dhabaleswar was working at a private textile company named Raiguru Textile Private Limited at Veppadai in Tamil Nadu. His family was informed about his death on December 17.
Meanwhile, Dhabaleswar family alleged that he was murdered on December 17, and his body was seized by local police for post-mortem.
Due to the family’s financial constraints, they were unable to bring Dhobaleswar’s body back from Tamil Nadu. However, with the help of the district administration, his body finally arrived in his village on Monday.
The village erupted in grief as Dhabaleswar’s family and friends alleged foul play behind his demanding justice and compensation for their loss.
An investigation is underway, and the police are yet to confirm the circumstances surrounding Dhabaleswar’s death.
