Nuagarh: Police on Monday recovered the hanging body of a pharmacist from his official residence at Khajuripada Community Health Center (CHC) in Odisha’s Gajapati district.
The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Behera, a pharmacist at the Khajuripada CHC.
According reports, the Khajuripada police received a complaint at around 11.00 pm on Monday that a young man named Ganesh Behera did not open the door of his quarter nor did he come for food even after being called by a staff.
When Ganesh did not open the door, the staff complained to the Khajuripada police who came to the spot to assess the situation. As Ganesh did not respond despite repeated calls, police broke open the door of the quarter to find Ganesh’s body hanging from the ceiling of his room.
Police have sent the body for post-mortem and launched an investigation into the unnatural death case.
