Anandpur: In yet another incident of man-animal conflict, a man was trampled to death in Odisha’s Keonjhar district in the wee hours of Monday. The incident took place in the Ravensapur village of Bali Bandh section under Champua Forest range.
The deceased has been identified as Ratha Munda (45) of Ravensapur.
According to reports, Ratha Munda went out of his house at around 2.00 am on Monday to defecate in the open. While he was answering nature’s call, a stray tusker lurking in front of his house attacked him and trampled him resulting in his death on the spot.
On receiving information, Forest Department personnel reached the spot, seized the body and sent it for post-mortem at the Champua Sub-Divisional Hospital.
