Berhampur: A massive fire broke out in the top floor of the Berhampur University’s Ladies Hostelon Tuesday.
Most furniture on the floor was reduced to ashes due to the fire. The damages were less as the university is now closed on account of winter vacation many students have gone to their homes. However, all their furniture and belonging were reduced to ashes.
The fire is suspected to have started from an electrical short circuit. On receiving the information, Fire Services personnel arrived at the hostel and extinguished the fire.
No one was injured in the incident.
