Bhubaneswar: The death of two senior BJP leaders, Devendra Nayak and Muralidhar Chhuria, in a road accident near Katapali in Sambalpur district has taken a shocking turn. Witnesses who were injured in the accident claim that the truck driver intentionally rammed into their car in an attempt of premeditated murder.

The incident occurred when the victims, along with two others, were returning from former MLA Nauri Nayak’s residence in Bhubaneswar to Chipilima. The truck, allegedly driven with intent, chased their car and hit it three times near Katapali at around 1:30 am.

The police have arrested the truck driver, and a case has been registered at Burla police station based on a complaint filed by the son of one of the deceased. The investigation is underway, with rumours swirling about a possible political motive behind the killings.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Sambalpur MLA Jayanarayan Mishra have expressed deep condolences and met the families of the deceased and the injured. The incident has sent shockwaves through the BJP community, with many demanding justice for the victims.
