Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued yellow warnings for dense fog in several districts of Odisha for January 9 and 10.

According to the IMD prediction, dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh and Kandhamal on January 9. Shallow to moderate fog is also expected to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Jagatsinghpur, and Kendrapara.

For January 10, the IMD predicted dense fog at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh and Kandhamal. Shallow to moderate fog is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Angul, and Dhenkanal.

The IMD has also predicted dry weather to prevail over all districts of Odisha till January 15.
Residents and commuters are advised to exercise caution while travelling, especially during the early morning hours, due to the reduced visibility caused by fog.
