Bhubaneswar: In a vibrant celebration of Odisha’s rich heritage, the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) launched the inaugural edition of “Culture, Crafts, and Conversations” under its Ekamra Walks initiative on Wednesday. The program was specially curated for the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas celebrations and promises to highlight the tangible and intangible aspects of Odisha’s cultural legacy.
The walk commenced at the Odisha State Archives, marking a unique collaboration between the BDA and the archival institution.
Typically reserved for researchers, the State Archives opened its doors to the public, offering rare insights into its historic artefacts.
Visitors were given a privileged view of British-era audits of the Jagannatha Temple and learned about the meticulous process of document preservation.
Heritage collections were displayed under the guidance of experts, providing an enriching experience for attendees.
The second segment of the walk concluded at the Kala Bhoomi – Odisha Crafts Museum. The museum tour culminated with a serene flute recital, adding a harmonious touch to the cultural journey. This limited-edition heritage walk will continue until next Friday, allowing more participants to immerse themselves in Odisha’s rich traditions.
