Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Bhubaneswar this evening on a two-day visit to Odisha. Landing at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in a special aircraft, the Prime Minister was greeted by enthusiastic crowds lining both sides of the road to welcome him.
On his arrival, Modi was welcomed by Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singh Deo & Pravati Parida and BJP state unit president Manmohan Samal among others at the airport.
The highlight of PM Modi’s visit will be his participation in the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention, the Government of India’s flagship event to engage with the Indian diaspora. Scheduled for January 8-10, the convention is being organized in partnership with the Odisha government, providing a platform for the diaspora to connect and collaborate.
PM Modi will spend the night at the Raj Bhavan before attending the event tomorrow.
Later this month, the Prime Minister is set to return to Odisha to address the ‘Utkarsh Odisha: Make In Odisha Conclave 2025,’ the state’s premier investment summit, on January 28 in Bhubaneswar.
