Bhubaneswar: Cuttack and Bhubaneswar residents faced severe disruptions on Saturday morning as dense fog engulfed the twin cities, reducing visibility and causing commuting chaos.
As per reports, the fog significantly reduced visibility on the outskirts of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, causing difficulties for commuters.
The fog severely impacted both cities, making it difficult for motorists to navigate. Traffic on major roads, including National Highway 16 and the Cuttack-Bhubaneswar Highway, slowed to a crawl, increasing the risk of accidents.
Apart from Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, vehicular movement in other parts of the state was affected due to dense fog. Also, the thick blanket of fog created problems for the early office-goers and schoolchildren.
“The fog made it impossible to drive safely, and I had to leave for work an hour earlier,” said Shivam Mohanty, a daily commuter.
As the fog continues to affect the region, commuters are advised to exercise caution while travelling and follow safety guidelines to minimize risks.
