Bhubaneswar: Nayagarh Police organized a student talent development programme, “Kalika,” on Saturday at the RO Ground, Nayagarh, as part of its community policing initiative to enhance police-civil society interaction. The event witnessed active participation from hundreds of students across various schools in the region.
The programme featured diverse activities, including Rangoli competitions, quiz contests, and mono acts, which were well-received by the participants and audience alike. Students delivered powerful messages on themes such as “Road Safety” and “Cyber Crime Awareness” through mono acts, spreading awareness about critical societal issues.
The Fire Department of Nayagarh conducted a live demonstration on fire safety and precautions, providing practical knowledge to the attendees. Sarat Acharya hosted the event, while Chandra Bijay Mishra served as the quiz master. Jury members Umasankar Das, Suresh Behera, Ramakrushna Rath, and Dillip Padhi played a vital role in ensuring the success of the programme.
To encourage the participants, various prizes, trophies, and certificates were distributed among the winners of the competitions.
