Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a dense fog warning for five districts in Odisha, prompting the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) to issue an advisory to ensure public safety.

According to the IMD bulletin, the districts likely to be affected by dense fog tomorrow are Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Kalahandi, and Kandhamal.

To prevent road mishaps, the SRC has directed the police and transport officials of the respective districts to take necessary measures. These measures include controlled plying of vehicles on National Highways during dense fog conditions.

The administration’s proactive steps aim to minimize the risk of accidents and ensure the safety of commuters.

With the dense fog warning in place, residents and travellers are advised to exercise caution while travelling and follow the instructions of local authorities.
