Two Law Aspirants Killed, Two Critical As Car Falls Into Ditch On Konark-Nimapara Road

Bhubaneswar: Two law aspirants lost their lives, and two others were critically injured in a car accident on the Konark-Nimapara Road in Puri district, on Wednesday late night.

According to reports, the accident occurred when the car, carrying four law aspirants, skidded off the road and fell into a ditch near Jhunai village.

The law aspirants were returning from Puri after appearing for their law examination, which was postponed due to some issues.

Upon being informed, Champahar firefighters reached the spot and recovered the law aspirants from the pond before taking them to Gop Community Health Centre.

The victims, identified as Sandeep Mohapatra from Nimapada’s Gohalapada area and Sanatana Senapati from West Bengal’s Dantanui area, were declared dead at the hospital.

Two others, Manish Senapati and Pupul Parida from Baliapatna, were critically injured and are undergoing treatment at the Gopa hospital.

The police have seized the car and are investigating the cause of the accident.
