Bhubaneswar: Odisha Sports Minister Suryabanshi Suraj on Sunday congratulated the Indian Women’s Kho Kho team on the historic win of the first Kho Kho World Cup at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi. The Women in Blue dominated Nepal in a spectacular final, sealing their victory with an emphatic score of 78-40.
The minister wrote on his X handle, “Awestruck to witness the historic win for the Indian Women’s Kho Kho Team! With a thrilling score of 78-40, they bring home the 1st-ever World Cup. Proud of our girls and proud of Odisha for sponsoring this monumental journey.”
Today’s historic victory will inspire millions of young women sportspersons of the country to build their own golden future in the field of sports, Suryabanshi Suraj added.
