Bhubaneswar: Four eminent individuals from various sectors in Odisha have been chosen to receive the prestigious Padma Shri Award.
Adwaita Charan Gadanayak will be honoured for his contributions to Art, while Dr. Ashok Kumar Mahapatra has been selected for his work in Medicine.
Additionally, Durga Charan Ranbir and Pratibha Satpathy will receive the award for their achievements in Art and Literature & Education, respectively.
The Centre announced the list of recipients for the coveted Padma Awards 2025 on the eve of Republic Day.
These awards are conferred in three categories: Padma Vibhushan for exceptional and distinguished service, Padma Bhushan for distinguished service of higher order, and Padma Shri for distinguished service.
Seven eminent persons have been selected for Padma Vibhushan while Padma Bhushan will go to 10 individuals from different fields. 113 will receive the Padmashri.
