Bhubaneswar: Odisha joined the rest of the nation in celebrating the 76th Republic Day, with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extending warm wishes to the people of the State.
Majhi paid tributes to the freedom fighters and soldiers who laid down their lives for the security of the country.
“On this occasion, I pay my humble tribute to the great fighters and soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the security of the country,” stated CM Majhi.

Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo also extended wishes, appealing to the people to make efforts to build a strong and prosperous India.
“On this glorious Republic Day, I extend my heartfelt wishes to all fellow citizens. As we celebrate the spirit of democracy and the values enshrined in our Constitution, let us reaffirm our commitment to building a stronger, more inclusive, and prosperous India. Together, let us honour the vision of our forefathers and strive for a future filled with unity and progress,” Singh Deo posted on ‘X’.

Deputy chief minister Pravati Parida also extended wishes on the Republic Day.
Taking to X, she wrote “Our Constitution is the symbol of our integrity and unity. While the Constitution is the basic basis of governance in a democratic country. Our Constitution has given equal rights to every citizen irrespective of caste, religion and colour. India’s respect in the world as a successful democracy is increasing. There is a need to further strengthen our efforts towards building a Viksit Bharat and Viksit Odisha”.
