Bhubaneswar: SAI Angan’s flagship annual cultural showcase, SAI Confluence 2025, commenced on Wednesday (February 5) at the Indraprastha Auditorium, setting the stage for three days (5-7 Feb) of immersive learning and artistic brilliance.
The event ensured active participation from every child, spanning across Playgroup to Class III, celebrating creativity and self-discovery. Dr. Silpi Sahoo, Chairperson, SAI International Education Group, welcomed parents and guests, emphasizing this year’s theme, Panchakosa, rooted in Vedic philosophy, which explores the five layers of human existence—Annamaya, Pranamaya, Manomaya, Vijnanamaya, and Anandamaya—aligning seamlessly with holistic childhood development. The grand culmination on the third and final day, February 7, 2025, was graced by Dr. Mridula Thakur Pradhan, a distinguished Supreme Court lawyer and social entrepreneur, whose presence added a special touch to the celebration.
An Odyssey of Learning: Children Illuminate the Five Sheaths
The first day of SAI Confluence 2025 unfolded with vibrant performances by Playgroup, Nursery, and KG I, captivating the audience with storytelling and creative expressions. Parents turned up in large numbers to witness the little ones embark on an educational odyssey, discovering the profound connection between body, mind, and soul. The energy and enthusiasm of the young learners set the perfect tone for the grand celebration ahead! As SAI Angan Confluence unfolded its second day on February 6, 2025, the energy and enthusiasm of young learners from KG II and Class I transformed the stage into a realm of discovery and wonder. With each performance, the children unraveled the deeper meanings of Panchakosa, demonstrating the profound interpretations of Panchakosa through music, movement, and narrative. With the final day approaching, young learners of Class II and III students took the stage, promising an extraordinary culmination of this enlightening journey through Panchakosa.
Dr. Pradhan praised the young performers for their creativity and engagement with the theme, emphasizing the importance of holistic education in shaping a just and progressive society. She said, “Early learning isn’t just about academics—it’s about building critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and a strong moral foundation. As parents, we must resist the urge to compare our children with others. They are growing up in a completely different world with their own challenges, and they need our confidence and support to become the best versions of themselves.” She also lauded SAI International Education Group for its inclusive approach, aligning with NEP 2020, and appreciated the school’s commitment to holistic development. “SAI’s learning approaches truly nurture a child’s mind, and even the school’s architecture plays a role in sparking curiosity and creativity. It’s wonderful to see a space where every child is encouraged to explore, express, and grow,” she added.
Beyond Performances: Panchakosa as a Pillar of Early Childhood Learning
This year’s theme, Panchakosa, inspired by the five sheaths of human consciousness as outlined in ancient Indian philosophy—Annamaya (physical), Pranamaya (energy), Manomaya (mental), Vijnanamaya (intellectual), and Anandamaya (blissful)—offered an enriching exploration of holistic learning for young minds. Through engaging performances and experiential activities, the event provided a unique platform for students to seamlessly integrate culture, values, and education in their journey of self-discovery.
Dr. Silpi Sahoo, Chairperson, SAI International Education Group, highlighted how these five sheaths reflect essential aspects of learning—encouraging children to understand their physical well-being, emotional intelligence, cognitive abilities, critical thinking, and innate happiness. Through immersive performances, interactive storytelling, and engaging activities, the young learners of SAI Angan embarked on a journey of self-discovery, embracing values that nurture their mental, emotional, and spiritual growth.
This unique approach to learning underscores SAI Angan’s dedication to multisensory education, fostering confidence and creativity in young learners. By integrating traditional wisdom with modern pedagogy, SAI Confluence 2025 served as an experiential platform where children not only performed but also internalized the essence of Panchakosa in their own imaginative ways. The audience witnessed a mesmerizing display of creativity as students brought to life the different sheaths through rhythmic movements, theatrical expressions, and captivating narratives. Parents and grandparents, enthralled by the performances, joined in the cultural revelry, experiencing firsthand how SAI Angan continues to redefine early childhood education through innovation and immersive learning.
