Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi thanked the people of Delhi for voting out the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government and paving the way for a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led government.
Majhi attributed the BJP’s victory to the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying it reflects the faith and hope of the people of Delhi in Modi’s vision for a developed India ¹.
The BJP secured a decisive win in the Delhi Assembly elections, winning 48 seats, while the AAP trailed behind with 22 seats. The Congress failed to win any seats. This marks the BJP’s return to power in Delhi after nearly three decades.
Majhi also congratulated the hardworking workers who contributed to the formation of a double-engine government in Delhi and Odisha. The Chief Minister acknowledged the significant role Odias played in the Delhi Assembly elections, with lakhs of Odias living in Delhi voting for change and leaders from Odisha campaigning in the elections.
