Bhubaneswar: In a gruesome crime, the body of a youth was found in a mutilated condition inside his studio in Dhabalagiri area under Jajpur Road police station on Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Deepak Kumar Sahu, owner of Om Digital Film Studio.
According to police, the murder is suspected to have taken place late at night by unidentified miscreants, who fled the scene after committing the crime. Initial investigations suggest that the murder may have been a result of previous enmity.
Deepak’s family members reported that he had gone to the studio around 11 pm to sleep after dinner, but his mobile phone was switched off later that night. This morning, Deepak’s mother found his body lying in a pool of blood when she arrived at the studio with tea for his son.
The miscreants had also looted equipment from the studio, including computers and cameras. The police have launched an investigation into the incident, with the assistance of a scientific team and dog squad.
The incident has sent shockwaves in the locality, with hundreds of people gathering at the scene. The police are investigating to identify the perpetrators and determine the motive behind the murder.
