Accelerating Urban Transformation For Viksit Odisha@2036

Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha is steadfast in its commitment to developing smarter and sustainable cities under the “Viksit Odisha@2036” vision.

According to an official press release, in alignment with this objective, Principal Secretary Usha Padhee chaired the 21st Dashboard Meeting today focusing on empowering Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) to implement impactful projects within established timelines.

The meeting emphasized the critical role of ULBs in driving urban development projects. Strategies were discussed to enhance their capacity to execute projects that contribute to the state’s vision of sustainable urbanization.

Senior officials were instructed to ensure that ULBs provide regular weekly progress updates. This directive aims to maintain momentum and accountability in project execution, ensuring adherence to set timelines.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of selecting and implementing projects that have a significant positive impact on urban living conditions, infrastructure, and sustainability.

The Government of Odisha remains dedicated to its “Viksit Odisha@2036” vision, focusing on sustainable urban development through strategic planning, empowered local governance, and the utilization of advanced data analytics.

The directives from the 21st Dashboard Meeting held are set to accelerate the implementation of impactful urban projects, ensuring that the state’s cities evolve into smarter and more sustainable urban centers.
