Bhubaneswar: Exam time often becomes a source of anxiety for students and their parents. While a little stress before exams can be beneficial, excessive pressure should be avoided. By following teachers’ advice, managing time effectively, and maintaining a forward-looking attitude with confidence and hard work, success is assured, said Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today.
Majhi was addressing students at the “Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025” event held at Unit-I Government High School in Bhubaneswar at 11 AM.
On this occasion, a video of the eighth edition of “Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025,” featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s direct interaction with students, teachers, and parents, was screened at the school. Chief Minister Majhi attended the event as the chief guest.
Prime Minister Modi guided students to prepare for exams with patience, principles, and strong determination. He advised them to stay stress-free during exams and shared several important tips to achieve success.
Chief Minister Majhi emphasized that education should be approached with a joyful mindset. He advised students to utilize their pre-exam time effectively, stay mentally strong, and avoid stress during exams.
“Do not fear exams. Fear can disrupt your focus. To maintain concentration, take short breaks of 5-10 minutes during study sessions and then resume with renewed focus,” he said.
Majhi further added, “Exams are approaching, and I firmly believe that your hard work will surely pay off. Always strive to move forward with confidence and determination. Your efforts will not go in vain. Focus more on preparation rather than the results. During exams, avoid unnecessary thoughts and concentrate on what you have studied. Prepare summary notes of the subjects beforehand and revise them repeatedly. This will help you stay calm and confident in the exam hall.”
Discussing the use of digital devices, the Chief Minister advised students to minimize their use during study hours, especially during exams.
“Stay away from mobile phones during exams. Avoid distractions, prepare short notes, clarify fundamentals, and revise repeatedly before appearing for exams. The early morning hours (Brahma Muhurta) are the best time for studying, as it helps in better retention,” he said.
He also encouraged students to stay stress-free and follow their teachers’ guidance.
“Adopt the best practices taught by your teachers and prepare accordingly. Follow the tips shared by the Prime Minister to reduce stress and implement them in your routine. I am confident that your future is bright. Just focus on your studies, listen to your teachers, and success will surely follow,” he added.
It is worth noting that 168 students from Unit-1 Government High School, who are set to appear for the Matric exams this year, participated in the event. They interacted directly with the Chief Minister, asked questions about exam preparation, and engaged in discussions.
Students like Liza Nayak, Shubham Patra, J. Minakshi, Sasmita Sahu, and Sanjib Digal asked questions and participated in the discussions. The Chief Minister also distributed exam preparation kits to the students.
The event was attended by School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Anupam Saha, State Project Director of Odisha School Education Programme Authority Ananya Das, along with all teachers and students of Unit-1 Government High School.
