Bhubaneswar: The plus two examinations conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) commenced today. On the first day, students of the Science Stream attended the test in the Odia subject. The exams for arts and commerce students will begin on Wednesday.
While the exam is scheduled to continue until March 27, as many as 393,618 candidates will appear for the exam at 1,276 centres across the state. In the Arts stream, 247,391 candidates, 114,980 in Science, and 25,526 in Commerce will write the examination. Similarly, 5,721 students in vocational education will appear for the exam.
The exam will be held from 10 am to 1 pm. The CHSE stated that all exams will be held in a total of 22 sittings. A five-level squad and CCTV have been set up in all centres to prevent malpractice activities.
The CHSE has targeted announcing the results within 45 days of the exam. The Council has warned of strict action against question paper leaks and rumours regarding this. This time, no syllabus has been changed; only the pattern has been changed.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended best wishes to the students and advised them to write with confidence.
