Bhubaneswar: A group of six miscreants wearing masks and armed with guns decamped with cash, jewellery, cash and mobile phones worth lakhs of rupees from a house at Botaladanga village under Mangalpur police limits in Jajpur district, on Thursday night.
As per reports, the armed robbers are reported to have looted valuables from the house of Prabhat Das, a resident of Botaladanga village. The robbery took place in the presence of Prabhat’s wife, three daughters, and a grandson. The miscreants allegedly threatened them with dire consequences at gunpoint and made off with the valuables.
Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation into the incident and are searching for the dacoits. A case has been registered at the Mangalpur police station, and the police are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the culprits.
