Bhubaneswar: The state government held its final review meeting today, chaired by Law, Works, and Excise Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, to oversee preparations for the holy Jagar Jatra of Lord Lingaraj, scheduled to take place on Wednesday.
Minister Harichandan emphasized the importance of coordination among officials and the timely completion of rituals. He advised all officers, employees, and volunteers to perform their duties to ensure a smooth and orderly experience for devotees.
The meeting decided that the Mahadeep will be lifted atop the temple at 10 PM, marking the culmination of the day-long religious event. Discussions were held with employees, volunteers, and voluntary organizations to organize the mega event in an orderly manner.
Key arrangements discussed during the meeting included traffic management, parking, drinking water supply, electricity, emergency services, fire services, sanitation, CCTV systems, security systems, and temporary health camps.
The meeting was attended by prominent officials, including Ekamra MLA Babu Singh, Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das, and temple trust board functionaries.
