Khordha: Three children sustained serious injuries in a firecracker explosion at Kumarbasta under the jurisdiction of the Khordha Industrial Estate police station on Thursday.
The incident occurred when firecrackers stored in a drum inside a pooja room exploded.
The injured include a 10-year-old boy, a 9-year-old boy, and a 12-year-old girl. After receiving first aid, they were shifted to Bhubaneswar for advanced medical treatment.
Khordha Sadar SDPO Ranjan Pradhan, Khordha Industrial Estate police station IIC Gayatri Mishra, and other officials rushed to the spot and are currently investigating the incident.
