Bhubaneswar: As many as 10 cities in Odisha have recorded temperatures of 37°C or higher, with Boudh emerging as the hottest place today, reaching a peak of 38.2°C.

According to Umashankar, Balangir recorded a scorching 38.1°C, followed closely by Angul at 37.9°C, Titilagarh at 37.6°C, and Bhadrak and Jharsuguda at 37.5°C. Jajpur recorded 37.2°C, while Baripada, Sonepur, and Bhawanipatna all saw temperatures of 37°C.
In Bhubaneswar, the capital city, the temperature exceeded 35°C, reaching a high of 36.1°C. Cuttack, the Silver City, experienced a relatively cooler temperature of 34.2°C.
The heat wave is expected to continue over the next few days, with residents advised to take necessary precautions to stay safe.
The IMD has stated that there will be no significant change in the maximum (day) or minimum (night) temperatures over the next 4-5 days in Odisha.
