Baripada: In a brazen daylight robbery, armed miscreants allegedly snatched a gold chain at gunpoint from a Community Health Officer (CHO) at the Kendujiani Sub Centre under Thakurmunda police station in Mayurbhanj district on Tuesday.
According to reports, two miscreants entered the sub-centre around noon, pretending to ask for painkillers. Suddenly, they brandished a pistol and snatched the gold chain worn by CHO Twinkle Behera. Before fleeing the scene, they threatened her with dire consequences if she reported the incident to the police.
Behera later filed a complaint at the Thakurmunda police station. Police have launched a manhunt to apprehend the culprits and are investigating the matter.
