Bhubaneswar: Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra was seen heading to the shooting set of her upcoming multilingual film at Talamali, Koraput, today. The actress, who spent the night at a hotel in Semiliguda, Koraput, waved to her fans gathered near the hotel before leaving for the shoot.
South superstar Mahesh Babu also joined the shoot at Deomaali Cottage. Priyanka took to Instagram to share pictures from her journey to the set.
The high-budget film, directed by SS Rajamouli of Baahubali and RRR fame, has been shooting in Talamali since last Thursday. The project, titled SSMB-29, has a massive crew of over 500 members and features expensive vehicles and state-of-the-art visual effects equipment.
The shoot is expected to continue in the area until March 28. The public is barred from entering the set. However, tourists and locals are thrilled to catch a glimpse of the action from a distance.
This is not the first time Koraput has hosted a major film shoot. Earlier, Anushka Shetty’s Ghati and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa-2 were filmed in the district and neighboring Malkangiri. Odisha’s scenic landscapes are increasingly becoming a favorite destination for the South cinema industry.
Deputy Chief Minister Parvath Parida has welcomed the film industry to Odisha, inviting them to explore the state’s diverse locations.
