Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Assembly was adjourned till 12:15 pm after Congress legislators created an uproar over the issue of atrocities against women.

As the question hour began in the Odisha Assembly, Congress MLAs protested the rising incidents of violence against women in the state.

The Odisha Assembly session resumed today after a three-day break for Dola Purnima, Holi, and Sunday but was marred by protests over the recent violence that erupted across the state on Holi. The opposition parties targeted the state government, questioning its failure to maintain law and order.

According to reports, two murder cases were reported in the capital city, while a shooting incident occurred in Cuttack. The opposition parties have condemned the violence and demanded action against those responsible.
