Bhubaneswar: Shubham Saxena, a 2013-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Director of Agriculture and Food Production, in Odisha.
This appointment comes on the heels of a minor reshuffle by the Odisha government, aimed at streamlining its administrative machinery.
Prior to his new assignment, Saxena was serving as the Managing Director of Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd and held additional charges as Additional Secretary to the Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Department.
As the Director of Agriculture and Food Production, Saxena will oversee the implementation of various initiatives aimed at boosting agricultural productivity, enhancing food security, and promoting sustainable farming practices in the state. His experience in administration and governance is expected to bring a new dynamism to the department.
