Bhubaneswar: In response to the ongoing heatwave conditions in Odisha, the state government has announced that schools will conduct morning classes starting April 2.
This was announced by Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari today.
This move comes a day after the government revised the operational hours of Anganwadi Centres to mitigate the impact of the scorching heat.
Anganwadi Centres have been directed to function from 7 am to 9 am to ensure the safety and well-being of children and staff.
The adjustments aim to protect students and workers from the extreme weather conditions, which have been intensifying across the state.
Further updates on the situation are expected as the government continues to monitor the heatwave.
