Bhubaneswar: A couple was found dead in their house at Gudighat village under Muribahal police limits in Balangir district on Sunday.

The deceased have been identified as Premraj Majhi and his wife Bhanumati Majhi. The couple, who married in 2019, were reportedly not facing any marital issues.

According to reports, the main door of the couple’s house was found closed from the inside until noon today. Suspecting something unusual, the villagers informed the police.

Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene and broke open the door, discovering that Premraj and his wife Bhanumati were dead inside their home.

The police have sent the bodies for post-mortem and initiated an investigation into the matter. A scientific team has also been called in to assist with the investigation.
