Two Chain Snatchers Injured In Police Encounter In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police in Bhubaneswar conducted a double encounter in the Badagada area, injuring two notorious chain snatchers.

The injured criminals are Sonu Yadav and Manish Yadav from Bihar. They are currently undergoing treatment at Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar.

According to reports, police had been tracking the duo for a long time, and upon receiving a tip-off, they raided the location, leading to the encounter. The culprits allegedly fired at the police, who retaliated in self-defence, injuring both.

Two country-made guns and some live ammunition have been seized from their possession. The duo is accused of involvement in multiple cases of chain snatching in various police stations, including six recent incidents reported on March 20.
