Bhubaneswar: Odisha government will soon begin work on a “Shakti Corridor” connecting all major Shakti Peeths across the State. It was announced by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Tuesday after having darshan at Maa Tara Tarini temple in Ganjam.

This ambitious project aims to promote pilgrimage, cultural heritage, and religious tourism by bringing together revered temples like Maa Tara Tarini, Maa Biraja, Maa Ugratara, Maa Bhagabati, Maa Mangala, Maa Kalijai, and Maa Bhairavi under a single, well-facilitated route.

The project will create a seamless journey for pilgrims and devotees to visit prominent Shakti shrines in Odisha. Plans are underway to introduce helicopter services, enhancing connectivity to these sacred sites.

The corridor will be designed to provide a comfortable and enriching experience for visitors, showcasing Odisha’s rich cultural heritage.

Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan who also accompanied the deputy CM to the famous shrine, confirmed that the project will be operational within two years, catering to thousands of devotees from across India.

The Shakti Corridor is part of Odisha’s broader strategy to boost tourism and economic development.
