Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) in parts of Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, Keonjhar, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Deogarh, Koraput, Sambalpur, and Sundargarh districts within the next three hours.
The nowcast warning, issued at 6:05 PM on Tuesday, placed these districts under a ‘Yellow’ alert. The IMD has advised residents to monitor weather conditions and seek safer locations to avoid lightning strikes.
