“After Utkarsh Odisha’s progress in the industrial sector, our Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) in New Delhi marks a second historic step. During my visit to Delhi on April 7-8, I engaged with numerous industrialists and inspected HCL Technology’s Noida office. I extended an invitation to HCL to establish a campus in Odisha, which received a positive response from the company. I’m delighted to see growing interest among industrialists and investors in Odisha. Our state’s vast potential, as highlighted by the Prime Minister, is unfolding, creating opportunities for substantial investments,” he maintained
“During our Delhi visit, we signed 13 agreements and received 15 investment proposals, which will bring in Rs 1.03 lakh crore in investments and create 95,195 job opportunities. The most significant among these is our Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IOCL. IOCL will invest ₹58,042 crore in Odisha, generating 24,000 employment opportunities. This partnership, along with MoUs with Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Limited and Petronet LNG, will establish Odisha as a leading state in the petrochemical and chemical sectors.”
He further said, “These agreements will pave the way for numerous downstream and ancillary units in the petrochemical sector, bringing us closer to our goal of establishing a port-led economy. The MoUs signed will create a significant impact on the petrochemical sector, making Odisha a hub for this industry. This development will generate substantial employment opportunities, both direct and indirect, for our skilled youth. I am pleased to have engaged with over 25 industrialists during this visit, with more interactions planned for the future. This has brightened the prospects of partnerships and collaborations, and we are committed to harnessing these opportunities for the state’s growth. The new government has created fresh possibilities for Odisha, and we are dedicated to driving industrial progress and creating a favorable business environment in the state. This visit has marked a significant milestone in our journey towards achieving these goals.”
