Bhubaneswar: A minor boy allegedly attacked his father with a sharp weapon following a heated argument over a haircut at Belbaria village under Sadar police limits in Balasore district on Saturday.
The injured has been identified as Keshav Mohanty, while the accused is his son, a Class X student.
According to reports, the boy had returned home after getting a haircut when Mohanty expressed displeasure over his hairstyle. An argument ensued, during which the boy, in a fit of rage, reportedly assaulted his father with a sharp object.
Mohanty sustained severe injuries on his neck and was rushed to the Balasore District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). He was later referred to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for advanced treatment.
Till the time of filing this report, no formal police complaint had been lodged in connection with the incident.
