Biswa Bhusan Memorial Trust Extends Financial Support To 10 Needy Students Pursuing Higher Studies

Bhubaneswar: Reaffirming its dedication to community service and educational empowerment, the Biswa Bhusan Memorial Trust has extended financial support in the form of scholarships to 10 needy students pursuing higher studies in various streams across Odisha.

The initiative was launched to carry forward the legacy of Late Biswa Bhusan, with a vision to support underprivileged but deserving youth in achieving their academic dreams.

Trust Chairman and former President of the Odisha Contractors’ Association Anil Mahalik announced the scholarships in honor of his beloved son.

He stated that the Memorial Trust is committed to uplifting budding talents in Odisha who lack financial backing.

The event saw the presence of Tanaya Patnaik, Editor of Sambad Group, who applauded the noble efforts of the Trust.

She emphasized the importance of educational initiatives like these in shaping a better future and personally handed over scholarship cheques to students pursuing medical education in various colleges of Odisha.

Joining her were Durgesh Nandini Rajyogini, Sanchalika of Brahma Kumaris, Unit-8, Bhubaneswar and Pritish Chandra Basha, former banker and social reformer.

Both dignitaries highlighted the significance of supporting education for underprivileged students and actively participated in distributing the scholarship cheques.

The 10 scholarship recipients from Odisha are:

  • Madhusmita Sabar – Ghanantri village, Rayagada district
  • Ajay Meher – Khalabahal village, Bargarh district
  • Goutam Meher – Kuchipali village, Bargarh district
  • Bikash Sahu – Ranipada village, Ganjam district
  • Jamuna Mahananda – Lambrupali village, Bargarh district
  • Akheswar Mallick – Daringbadi, Kandhamal district
  • Navya Naveli Sahoo – Nantar village, Kendrapara district
  • Dipa Nayak – Atoda village, Cuttack district
  • Monalisha Sahoo – Kandarpur village, Cuttack district
  • Rashmita Das – Mahakalpada village, Kendrapara district

The ceremony drew enthusiastic participation from college and university students, educators, social workers, and prominent philanthropists based in Bhubaneswar.

The event concluded with a strong message on the importance of educational support for the economically underprivileged and a call for more such initiatives that nurture the academic aspirations of deserving youth across the state.
