Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department issued a nowcast warning for Puri and Jagatsinghpur districts, predicting light to moderate thunderstorms with lightning accompanied by gusty surface winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph within the next three hours.
The regional weather department has issued the nowcast warning at 11 am.
“Light to moderate thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rain with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph likely to affect some parts of district of Puri and Jagatsinghpur within next three hours”, read the IMD’s nowcast warning.
Residents are advised to remain vigilant and monitor weather updates closely. To ensure safety, people are recommended to move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
