Notorious Criminals Injured In Police Encounter In Cuttack

Bhubaneswar: Two notorious criminals were injured in a police encounter at Indranipatna area under Choudwar police limits in Cuttack district late Wednesday night.

The injured criminals are Katas Rout and Subhranshu Parida.

As per reports, the joint operation was conducted by Chaudwar police and the Special Squad based on credible information. When police attempted to apprehend them, the duo opened fire, prompting police to retaliate. Both were injured and rushed to SCB Medical College and Hospital. Police have seized a gun and ammunition from their possession.

Notably, Katas has 15 cases registered against him, while Shubhranshu has over 50 cases against him.
