Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday announced an ex-gratia payment of ₹4 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to the family of a Class 9 student who tragically lost his life in a road accident in Sambalpur. The Chief Minister expressed deep sorrow over the untimely demise of the student.
The announcement was made through a post by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO Odisha) on X (formerly Twitter).

The victim, identified as 14-year-old Ayushman Behera, was a student of Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir in Dhanupali. He was fatally struck by a tractor while returning home from school in Sambalpur district on Friday.
