Jajpur: A Special Fast Track Court in Jajpur on Saturday sentenced Nakul Jena and Sanju Jena to life imprisonment for the brutal murder of their 15-year-old pregnant daughter in 2016.
The couple, residents of the Binjharpur police station area, was also fined Rs. 10,000.
The court’s verdict relied on the testimony of three key witnesses and other corroborating evidence. The judge pronounced the life imprisonment sentence, emphasizing the gravity of the crime and the need for justice.
The horrific incident occurred in 2016 when the parents discovered their minor daughter was pregnant. In a heinous act, they murdered her and burned her body to conceal the crime. Following a thorough investigation, the police arrested Nakul and Sanju Jena, charging them with murder.
