Puri: The Suar Mahasuar Nijoga of Puri Shree Jagannath Temple has reportedly issued strict instructions regarding the upcoming Shri Jagannath Temple inauguration ceremony in Digha, West Bengal.
In a letter signed by the Secretary of Suar Mahasuar Nijoga, servitors, members, and employees have been strictly prohibited from participating in cooking activities during the ceremony.
Any violation of this directive will result in severe consequences, including a permanent ban on cooking for Puri Srimandir, termination of employment, and suspension.
The letter, displayed on the south gate wall of the 12th-century shrine, warns that strong action will be taken against anyone who disobeys the directive.
The inaugural ceremony of the Digha Jagannath temple is scheduled to take place in Digha on April 30, on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya.
