Boudh: In a significant breakthrough, the Boudh police arrested two persons involved in the alleged murder of young entrepreneur K. Manoj Patra within 12 hours of the incident.
The accused, identified as 19-year-old Ashish Luha from Bapujinagar and 18-year-old Ashin Deep from Salibanka village, were apprehended by a team led by Additional Deputy Police Officer (ADPO) Laren Rautray under the supervision of Superintendent of Police (SP) Rahul Goel.
According to reports, the murder took place on April 27 near Jagdishpur Square under the Boudh police station limits. The accused allegedly attempted to rob Patra before killing him. The police recovered a knife, a mobile phone, and a scooter from the accused.
In a press conference, SP Rahul Goel provided details about the case, praising the efforts of the investigation team for solving the case within a short span of time.
He said, “A police team was formed immediately after the incident, which led to the identification and arrest of the accused. The accused were produced in court today. One more accused is still absconding. Police have launched a manhunt to arrest the third accused and ensure justice for the victim’s family.”
