Gajapati Shines With 99.35% Pass Rate In Odisha HSC 2025 Results

Bhubaneswar: Gajapati district has emerged as the top performer in Odisha’s 2025 High School Certificate (HSC) examinations, achieving an impressive pass percentage of 99.35%, according to results announced by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE).

The state recorded an overall pass rate of 94.93%, with girls outshining boys, and 3,273 schools securing a 100% pass rate.

District-wise, Gajapati’s stellar performance was followed by Ganjam at 98.10%, Jharsuguda at 97.87%, and Cuttack at 97.68%. Koraput recorded the lowest pass percentage at 92.83%. Other notable pass rates include Balasore (97.56%), Sundargarh (97.61%), Puri (97.17%), and Mayurbhanj (96.99%).

This year, 5,02,417 regular students appeared for the HSC exams, of which 4,84,863 passed. Girls achieved a pass percentage of 96%, surpassing boys at 94%.

Among the successful candidates, 2,44,612 were girls, and 2,40,251 were boys. Notably, no school in the state reported a zero percent result, reflecting the strong academic performance across Odisha.

A total of 3,273 schools, including 1,802 government, 1,154 government-aided, and 317 unaided institutions, achieved a perfect pass rate.

The grade distribution highlights the quality of results: 1,812 students secured A1, 12,200 secured A2, 38,831 secured B1, 84,971 secured B2, 1,33,882 secured C, 1,46,154 secured D, and 67,013 secured E.

In the Madhyama exams, 2,868 out of 2,917 students passed, with a pass rate of 85.79%.

The State Open School Certificate (SOCS) exams saw 4,181 out of 5,591 students pass, with a pass rate of 74.78%.

Students can access their results on www.bseodisha.ac.in or via SMS by sending “OR10 ” to 5676750. For result-related queries, BSE has provided helpline numbers (0671-2412059, 2412060, 8763088890), available from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM on working days until May 9.

Digital HSC (matric) certificates will be available 72 hours after the result announcement on https://bsedigicertificate.odisha.gov.in/ or via WhatsApp at 77100-58192. Rechecking applications are open from May 5 to May 16, and supplementary exam applications can be submitted from May 14 to May 26 through www.bseodisha.ac.in.

The results reflect the dedication of students, teachers, and the BSE’s efforts to ensure a robust examination process, with Gajapati setting a high benchmark for academic excellence in Odisha.
