OPSC Awards 6 Extra Marks To All Candidates In SDIPRO Exam

Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC)

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has decided to grant an additional 6 marks to all candidates who appeared for the SDIPRO (OIS-II), Group-B recruitment examination, held on March 29-30, 2025.

This decision comes after the discovery of a printing error in the Journalism & Mass Communication paper, which impacted the marks distribution.

An official notification issued by OPSC confirms that the error occurred in Questions 08, 09, and 10 of Part-B of the paper. Each of these questions was mistakenly marked for 6 marks, instead of the intended total of 100 marks, resulting in an incorrect total of 94 marks.

In light of this, the Commission has taken corrective action by awarding 6 extra marks to all candidates, ensuring no one is disadvantaged by the clerical mistake.

“After careful consideration, the Commission has decided to award 6 extra marks to all candidates, irrespective of the marks secured by them in the Journalism & Mass Communication paper of the SDIPRO Recruitment, as per Advt. No. 05 of 2024/25,” the notification states.

The adjustment, which applies to all candidates who appeared for the examination under Advt. No. 05 of 2024/25, aims to rectify the error and maintain fairness in the recruitment process.
