Thunderstorms & Gusty Winds Likely To Hit 6 Districts In Few Hours

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning predicting thunderstorms and gusty winds in six districts of Odisha in the next two to three hours.

According to the nowcast warning issued by the IMD at 10:45 am, light to moderate thunderstorms with gusty surface winds of up to 30-40 kmph, lightning and light to moderate rain are expected to affect some parts of Nuapada, Kalahandi, Bargarh, Balangir, Koraput and Malkangiri.

The warning is valid for the next two to three hours. Residents in these areas are advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.

The IMD has urged people to keep a close watch on the weather and be prepared to move to safer places if necessary. Additionally, people are advised to take precautions to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
