Khordha: A toddler was killed and his parents were injured when the bike in which they were travelling had a head-on collision with a bus near Pubusahi at Barsahi Chhak under Khordha Town police limits in Khordha district.
The deceased, a three-year-old has been identified as Amulya Barik.
According to reports, Amulya and his parents–Ashok and Pushpa were returning home on their bike when the speeding bus collided head-on.
Amulya succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while his parents were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Eyewitnesses reported that the bus driver fled immediately after the crash, sparking outrage among locals.
As tension escalated, Khordha Town Police arrived at the scene to control the situation and reassure the agitated crowd. Police have launched a manhunt to apprehend the absconding driver.
