Bhubaneswar: Airport Police arrested four persons on Monday in connection with a brutal sword attack on a youth near the Sishu Bhawan traffic square in the state capital.

The accused—identified as Mohammad Raja (28), Mohammad Saddam (30), Nasimuddin Saha (25), and Ajamusin Saha—reportedly fled the scene after the attack.

The incident occurred on the night of May 12, when the victim Biki Nayak, was riding his motorcycle near the square. A car allegedly collided with his two-wheeler from behind and several assailants emerged from the vehicle, launching a violent assault.

As Nayak attempted to escape towards Forest Park Road, the assailants chased him and attacked him with a sword, causing serious injuries.

Police were alerted and quickly arrived at the scene, transporting the injured man to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar. Following an investigation, the four suspects were apprehended.

Police also seized two numbers of swords and two motorcycles.
